Macy was found in Va after she had been hit by a car. When arriving here to the rescue she was seen by the vet and found to have a concussion. After her bloodwork was complete it was found that she was negative for Ehrlichia but positive for Lymes and Heartworm. She has completed her meds for the Lymes and she has been spayed. Macy has received an injection of Ivermectin which is used to kill the baby heartworms. She will need to have her bloodwork done again in 30 days from 5/15 to see if the baby HW are indeed gone. If so she will start her Heartworm treatment. If you have room in your heart and home for a wonderful girl please let us know. We are unsure on her age but beleive she is around 5 years old.
