Wags is an awesome girl and has been given a second chance. She was pulled from an out of state shelter on 4/5/06. She was scheduled to be put down on 4/6/06. She is approx. 20 pounds underweight. Thanks to a volunteer at the shelter she was at it was found that she was loaded with internal parasites. She is currently on medication and we expect her to start gaining her weight back. She is up to date on vaccines. Her bloodwork showed she is positive for heartworms and will need heartworm treatment. Even though this girl has gone through so much it has never affected her personality. She is very loving and affectionate and got her name from what she does. Wags her tail constantly. So much that when she arrived the end of her tail was bleeding from hitting the inside of her transport crate. That is healing nicely though. We expect her medical work to be complete early May and she will then be available for adoption. She looks to be a pure border collie. This girl is going to make a nice addition to someones home. Maybe it is yours. If you would like to make a donation to help in her care you can mail it to WAR po box 1697 Seaford DE 19973. She still needs heartworm treatment. Thanks in advance from all of us and Wags. UPDATE 4/14 Wags has gained 6.8 pounds since arriving here at the rescue 9 days ago. She is well on her road to recovery. She has been spayed now and is doing great.
